Beyond Summit 2023 Recap
In 2023 we launched our inaugural Beyond Summit. We welcomed 85+ family offices, representing 12 countries and 56 cities, and were joined by 25+ venture general partners. Core programming included keynote sessions headlined by Mark Suster, Paris Hilton, and Carter Reum, GP-led roundtable discussions, and un-conference style conversations.

What airport should I fly into?
The Resort at Pelican Hill is accessible from three airports in the Los Angeles, California area.
John Wayne Airport (SNA) is a short 15-minute drive.
Long Beach Airport (LGB) is just 30 minutes away.
Los Angeles International (LAX) Airport is a 45-minute drive away.
What are my options for ground transportation?
Car Rental and Driving Directions:
Each of the local commercial airports is served by all major car rental companies. Driving directions to the hotel, from all directions, can be found on Pelican Hill’s website.

Resort Parking:
Overnight parking for two cars per Bungalow is available and included in the resort fee.

Ride Share and Taxi Service:
Taxi and sedan car services are available at all commercial airports. The one-way fare will start at $60-$75, plus gratuity and airport fees. Alternately rideshare, such as Uber and Lyft are available and the one-way fare starts at $25-$35. Please consult your Lyft or Uber app upon arrival for current fares, ride types, and rates.

At LAX Airport: Please note, taxis and ride share companies are not allowed to pick up at curbside. Ride apps and taxis can be picked-up at the LAX-it lot next to Terminal 1. Guests can walk or take the free LAX-it shuttles to get to LAX-it.
What can I expect for weather conditions?
The Southern California Pacific coast enjoys a mild Mediterranean climate with more than 300 days of sunshine per year. Summers are dry due to a semipermanent high-pressure system that sits in the Pacific Ocean and holds storm tracks well to the north. Warm air moving over the cool ocean in summer creates fog that moves in during the evening and early morning hours but almost always dissipates by midday. The average year-round high temperature is 65°F (19°C). The average temperatures in late May range from the low 70’s during the day to the high 50’s at night.
What is the dress code?
Attire for all conference activities and social functions will be casual. No need for a suit or sports coat, although a sweater or jacket is recommended for any evening outdoor activities.
